Registration
To register for any program visit us online at durhamrec.recdesk.com. Those registering online will pay a credit card service fee on the total transaction.
 
You may also visit the Parks & Recreation office to register for programs using our paper registration form. We accept cash or checks when registering using the paper registration form. 
 
Each program session is considered a new class. All individuals must register for each session they wish to participate in. Please remember that you are not automatically registered into additional sessions until your registration is complete, including payments.
 
 

Policies 

   Refund Policy for General Programs (School Year)
  • If Durham Parks & Recreation cancels a program, the registrant will receive a 100% refund (or if preferred a credit to the household account).
  • Cancellations made prior to 3 business days from the start of a program will receive a full refund, minus a $10 processing fee.  If you opt for a credit to your household account, the processing fee will be waived. 
  • Cancellations less than 3 business days from the start of a program, a 50% credit will be applied to your household account.
  • Field Trips, TWD'S & Camps will only be refunded if registrants spot is filled by another registrant.
  • Some programs may have different refund policies that will be outlined in the registration.
  • Refunds are issued by check from the Town of Durham and can take up to 3 weeks. 
   
Refund Policy for Summer Camp Registrations 2024
  • Camp registrations that are cancelled between 2/19-4/30 will receive 100% refund or 100% credit on your Recdesk account.
  • Camp registrations that are cancelled between 5/1-5/31 will receive 50% refund or a 50% credit on your Recdesk account.
  • Camp registrations that are cancelled between 6/1-8/2 with a 2-week notice will receive 50% credit only on your Recdesk account.
  • Camp registrations that are cancelled between 6/1- 8/2 without a 2-week notice will NOT be given a refund or an account credit. 

 

 
Photo Policy
By registering for a program or participating in a community event, you give us permission to take and publish photos of your participation.  Pictures may be used in brochures, flyers, on our website, eblasts and social media channels.
 
Rec Code
Our goal is to have all participants to have a fun and safe experience!  On the Rec Code Form you will find the responsibilities, rec code do's & do not's and incidents. Camp Code Form.
 
Don’t Wait To Register!
Almost all of our programs have registration minimum and maximum participation requirements.  So programs fill up very quickly and have limited registration.  Please plan ahead and register early.  There is a point when a program must be cancelled if there is insufficient registration.  All programs require a level of scheduling, staffing, and purchasing of supplies.   

So please register early!
  
 
Mistakes Happen!
Occasionally there may be an error in days, times, registration requirements or fees in our program guild, flyers, or website. When such errors occur, DPR will promptly correct the situation.  We thank you for your patience and understanding when these situation arise.
